Journal Booklets: Lists

If you saw my latest post on Instagram you would see the layout for my travel journal (leather cover, folder cover, journal booklet, book reviews booklet and watercolor booklet). I did not anticipate how quickly I went through the journal booklets and ended up completing 3 of them. The book reviews and watercolor booklets are still incomplete.

The folder cover (bird & flowers) is going to house these 3 journal booklets. I haven’t decided if I want to elastic band or maybe hot glue gun them in. If anyone have suggestions please do tell. Originally these booklets were going to be daily lists of anything, from shopping list to reminders. But overtime it ended up more like a journal. This post will show some entries from the “List” booklet. “Two” and “Three” will be in another posts. Continue reading “Journal Booklets: Lists”

Travel Notebook: Watercolor Insert (Booklet)

Originally I had wanted to share my travel notebook updates via video. I have yet to learn how to video edit and also I don’t have an overhead tripod. This post is a preview of just the watercolor insert of my travel notebook.

Cherry-Strawberry Popsicles

Another summer treat to beat the heat!

Ingredients:

  • 1 – 2 cups Frozen fresh cherries & strawberries
  • 3/4 cups Water
  • 2 – 4 Tbsp. Sugar (my bag of fresh cherries was really sour)

Instructions:

  1. In a blender, pour in the water, frozen fresh cherries & strawberries and sugar. Puree until smooth.
  2. Pour mixture into a container that has a spout. Using a spoon, stir the mixture a few times to make sure ingredients is blended well.
  3. Pour mixture into popsicle mold. If your mold is anything like mine, leave about 1/8 in. or 1/2 cm. from the top of the mold where the popsicle stick goes in. As it freezes it expands and if you don’t leave that gap, your popsicle will peek out and may get freezer burn (of course that depends how soon the popsicles get eaten).
  4. Freeze them overnight.

Enjoy!!!

About My Cooking

Originally I wrote this post for the “Recipes” tab, but for some reason if you click the “Recipes” tab it will show you the most recent post I made to the blog instead. If you don’t understand what I’m talking about, just click the “Imagination” tab on my blog and it will transfer you to a page titled “Imagination” (there’s nothing underneath, since I didn’t write anything). But for some reason it doesn’t do that for my “Recipes” tab.

Oh well, anyway, moving on… I decided making it into a blog post would work too 🙂 Continue reading “About My Cooking”

Graduation Shaker Card

My younger brother graduated!!! I’m so proud of him! Again, I didn’t know how I was going to decorate a card for a teenage boy. But it came to me one evening that I could use my large circle puncher to create a shaker card. With any shape puncher, you’re pretty much restricted to the edges of the paper and that’s how I came about going with the balloons idea. Continue reading “Graduation Shaker Card”

Birthday Card with Lil Goodies

A birthday card I made for my cousin. This time I remembered to include a picture of the envelope I made, as most these cards so far are pretty thick. Continue reading “Birthday Card with Lil Goodies”

Accordion Birthday Card

I made a birthday card for my youngest brother. Teenage boys are tricky, I have no idea how to decorate the card (also clueless on what kind of presents boys that age would like). So this card is more on the minimalist side.  Continue reading “Accordion Birthday Card”

My First Flip Book

When you think of flip books, you think of those little booklets that you flip through quickly so you would see the little animation come to life. Well that’s what I thought, until I came upon “Snail mail flip books” on YouTube. I was intrigued by the creativity and gaudiness of it all, so I made one to congratulate my sister on her pregnancy. This was back in April. Continue reading “My First Flip Book”

I’m Coming Back

Dear Readers,

After much consideration, I decided to come back to this blog; anh|off the record. A year ago, I wanted to start fresh and start a new blog with different goals; Summer & Pine. I was supposed to delete this blog after the transition. I couldn’t do it, I kept extending the deletion date and over time, I kept coming back to this blog to look up or reference things that I have done.

Since Summer & Pine has so few posts, it was easier to import to this blog instead of vice versa. I will in a few months delete Summer & Pine. The layout and format of anh|off the record, has been updated to match that of Summer & Pine. Only the older posts prior to Summer & Pine has been left as is. Thank you for understanding, hope to hear from you guys soon!

Sincerely,

Anh
